Forest Inventory Solutions
There are increasingly a number of forest inventory programs making their way out into the market, each, with its own niche. With so many platforms to compare, it can be difficult for users to navigate the strengths and weaknesses of each. Our clients demand a robust, yet customizable forest inventory platform that’s easy to use.
Since the very beginning, we’ve worked closely with our clients and the developers of TCruise to deliver a system that’s both efficient in the field and office. TCruise is the leading forest inventory software on the market today and is the only software capable of handling the complexities of today’s forest inventories.
TCruise Pro Desktop
TCruise Pro Desktop is a full-featured forest inventory software solution developed by Worldwide Heuristic Solutions and used by more than 2000 foresters nationwide. The program can utilize common inventory sampling methods and report in a variety of volume units. TCruise comes with over 400 internal volume functions and can also accommodate user-defined volume tables and equations. There are various reporting modules the program can feed via a database export. TCruise can also be customized by the developer to meet individual customer needs for special reporting, exports, or processing. The newly released TCruise Pro version includes several optional modules. Please select Read More for more information.
TCruiseCE is the powerful Windows Mobile or Windows Tablet-based field software for forest inventory data collection. Cruise templates designed in TCruise Desktop can be opened in TCruiseCE to allow foresters to enter Stand, Plot, and Tree info in the field. Most foresters use TCruiseCE along with Trimble’s Solo Forest GPS program and F4 Tech’s RTI script to facilitate plot navigation and spatial plot location in the field. TCruise can accommodate Plot, Point, Double Point, Strip, 100% Tally, Cumulative Tally, and even stump-based cruises.
Woodland Solutions Group InventoryManager is an easy-to-use web application that organizes, manages, and displays your cruise data for increased efficiency, productivity, and collaboration. Entire teams can monitor data collection progress, assign cruises, check cruises, and perform quality checks on data. The secure, cloud-based framework is highly scalable, adaptable, and supports a wide range of data collection, storage, organization, and sharing workflows. Backed by Enterprise technologies, including Esri ArcGIS, Acquia, and Drupal, the platform is feature-rich and extensible.
Voice Directed Tally System
In the up-and-down world of lumber manufacturing, every board-foot – and every dollar – matters. When guesswork and uncertain data enter the mix, your bottom line suffers. Improve your operation with the accuracy of VDTS Voice Tally. A Tally system with 99.99% accuracy. VDTS Voice Tally frees your hands with voice control. Reduce costly adjustments, recover productive man-hours, and streamline processes immediately.
The Voice Directed Tally System (VDTS) works with the RealWear HMT-1 headset. Use it in wet, dusty, hot, dangerous, and loud industrial environments. A fully rugged head-mounted device, it optionally snaps into safety helmets or attaches to bump caps and can be used with safety glasses or corrective eyewear. The high-resolution microdisplay fits just below your line of sight and views like a 7” tablet. It’s an industrial dashboard: there when you need it and out of your way when you don’t. The HMT-1 works with powerful software applications from VDTS in four core categories, each optimized for completely hands-free voice control. That means no scrolling, swiping, or tapping – just simple voice commands. Use it for timber cruising, log scaling, lumber grading, and end tally. Additional functions available include remote mentor video calling, document navigation, guided workflow, mobile forms, and industrial IoT data visualization.
Terrain Navigator Pro Inventory
Currently available for iPhone and Android devices, the Terrain Navigator Pro mobile app allows you to view your position, collect waypoints, track and routes, record tracks, place markers, and take photos, videos, and sound bites with your mobile device. Through Project Synchronization, markers, tracks, and geopins are automatically shared between projects that exist in the Terrain Navigator Pro desktop software and the Terrain Navigator Pro mobile app. This synchronization occurs through the TNP cloud, which is one benefit of the annual subscription.
