Designed for the most demanding and data-intensive field applications, the Juniper Allegro 2 is ideal for outdoor or industrial environments. The Allegro 2 is completely sealed against dust and water, earning it an IP68 rating. It is also tested to MIL-STD-810G for water, humidity, sand and dust, vibration, altitude, shock, and temperature.
The Allegro 2 is powered by the Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5.3 operating system, a 1.0GHz ARM Cortex A8 i.MX53 processor, 512MB RAM, and 8GB flash storage. The Allergo 2 has a user-accessible micro SD/SDHC slot for additional data storage.
The Juniper Allegro 2 features a 4.2″ Sun-to-Shade™ high visibility backlit LCD display with a projected capacitive touchscreen. It also has a full numeric and QWERTY keypad with 6 user-assignable keys. The Allegro 2 comes standard with integrated Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g. An optional GPS receiver is fully integrated and offers 1-5 meter accuracy for mapping and navigation applications. An integrated 5MP camera and a 3.75 GSM modem are also available as options.
The Allegro’s rechargeable battery operates for up to 20 hours on one charge, and only takes a quick 2-4 hours to fully charge.
