The I/O Port Cover protects the input/output ports on the bottom face of the Ranger 3 handheld computer. The cover features three distinct sections to protect the USB host port, the Serial port, and the USB client port and DC power port.
Please note that the I/O Port Covers are not required to keep the unit sealed against dust and water. Rather, they are intended to keep dust, mud and snow from accumulating in the ports.
This is a standard accessory included with each Ranger 3 computer. It is a consumable accessory that can wear out in normal usage
